46) AMERICAN OPTIONS: These call and put options can be exercised by their holder at any time before their maturity date. Also, since these are marketable securities till they expire, these can be sold. European options are same as the American options, except that they can be exercised only on the date of expiry.
47) AMORTIZATION: Writing off of the assets of a company over a number of years, not necessarily depending on the life of the assets, for the purpose of the replacement or renewal. It is different from depreciation which is periodic writing off of the value of the asset based on its normal life expectancy. Amortization is usually accompanied by putting aside money in a sinking fund, so that the considerably increased cost of replacement on modernization can be met, when it is needed

(1) Directors report outlining a review of the company’s operations during the year, a summary of its financial results, and future projections, if any.
(2) Auditor’s report.
(3) Balance sheet.
(4) Profit & Loss Account.

(5) Schedules explaining items on the balance sheet and profit and loss account. Company law requires all companies to prepare such a report and mail it to the share holders
